Last day of blogging!(:

As you may know the turtles are endangered species. There is so much pollution around the ocean that makes it hard for many sea creatures to survive and do things they should be free to do. To top this all off we are the ones who pollute the earth.  Many turtles are endangered and we are about to see a journey of a little fella trying to make it through.
“Mom! I’m going out to hang out with my friends!” Ira said.
“Alright honey, just be home before they start fishing.” Mom said.
Ira exits the house and leaves to meet her friends
“Gosh it’s so hard swimming through the ocean with all these nasty cans and foil everywhere! Why are humans so
gross and annoying? Don’t they have any common sense?” She kept complaining. There were so much trash everywhere. She swam across the mini trench and finally reached her friends.
“Hi Ira!” they said all in unison
There was a crawfish named Dominic, an otter named Harold, a seahorse named Mark, and a triplets of clown fish named, Eva, Sia, and Isa.
“Wanna play a round of Truth or Dare?” Said Harold
“Sure!” Ira said
“So truth or dare?”
“Dare”
“I dare you to go all the way to the surface of the beach and come back within two minutes”
“Alright deal”
“Ready… set…go”
She raced as fast as she could but within 15 seconds of swimming her head was stuck. Her head was stuck in the six pack rings. Her friends were rushing to her. They regretted playing the game as soon as they got to her.  Since Harold was a Doctor they managed to get it out but she had a minor cut on her neck.
“If this keeps happening, maybe all of us will be gone. Maybe that’s what they want.” Ira said
“Now now pumpkin, it’s nothing like that.” The comfort of Sia voice soothed.
“Maybe or maybe not, but this keeps happening. Grandma and Grandpa passed away because of this! Isn’t there anything anyone can do?”
As you can see many animals under the water are in serious trouble. You can help by not throwing your trash in the ocean or anywhere but the trashcan for that matter. Help the world be a better place. Anything that you do matters.

Day 8

Today we started the day off by watching a video about listening to sounds, so when we went to BellBrook Canoe today, we were to listen to multiple noises. My partner today was Pooja. She's incredible and she made the whole experience fun as well as Terence and Amin. Pooja. Anyways when we were on the river we heard a bunch of buzzing from the bees and chirping from the birds.
This is my Recipe Poem......

Infinite Gallons of water
A couple dozen of turtles
About a pinch of insects
Finally a bunch of happiness

It takes an infinte amount of gallons to create a passage for our canoe
Put the couple of dozens of turtles in the huge pool of water and stir it together
Add a pinch of insects to give you a different idea of this experience
Finally a sweet spice at the end called happiness to finish the whole recipe

This is a picture of me and my best friends canoeing and making memories(:

It's been a whole week!(:

Today we started off the day with a presentation from Kris. She gave us a little workshop about Vignettes. She went through on what a vignette should contain. At the end of the workshop she gave us an Imagine to write a vignette about. After we wrote them, we had the option to share it. After this we got more time to write a vignette about a creature we took a picture of during a field trip we took.  After this we got feedback and we're going to put it in our blog. After this we chose 7-8 pictures to put into a hard-copy. We did this so we can put it on for Exhibition Night. This was my practice Vignette for the picture....
                                                                         In mist
The water heals
Into the trees
The mist flows on throughout
 Its power creates a mesh
Sun filters Heartfelt
Those that are seen
 The mist opens
A perfect feel of love
Tenderness envelopes me
 Sun shower.
Snow cap
 A mountain to
Filled to the brim
 With an icy cold treat
 A white delight, frigid fun
Excitement

I wrote a journal entry for my creature....

Tonight I was sitting out by my lily pond with family, watching a thunder storm roll in with lightening against a dark sky. In the distance we could hear the whippoorwills singing their haunting song, warning others of rain. And right at our feet came the loud bellowing of a big bullfrog sitting on a lotus blossom lily pad. We sat there listening to the most magnificent chorus that nature could provide, and we didn't have to pay a cent to attend this orchestra. The wind was blowing ever so softly, just enough to blow your hair across your face, and you had to wonder if it was a bug.

We shined the flashlight across the top of the water and began to count the sets of white eyes, which were frogs. Each one would swell up and release his air into his own personal sound. We wondered what the messages were. After a few minutes we were able to see a wavy pattern in the water that told us there was another critter making his way to the cafeteria dinner table and frogs were on the menu. You guessed it, a water snake. They are not poisonous so we weren't worried. He wasn't looking at us; he had dinner on his mind. Frogs with a side order of lotus blossoms and cattails. Yum! After a few more minutes the pesky mosquitoes began to buzz around us, so we left the feast to the critters and came in

Day 6

Today we started off by reading a prose which was called "The Ponds" In Henry David Thoreau's Walden. It had a bunch of observations, meanings, and delivery.  After we read this we were headed to Eastwood Metro park. We were split into 2 different groups and the first one went Kayaking, and the other went hiking. I was the one to Kayaking first. It was super fun! I observed many things while I was there. I saw many beautiful trees, and it felt so magical. It was as if the river was trying to call me into a paradise. It was so green everywhere. Gosh it was so beautiful. I saw many different kinds of birds as well. It smelt like fish and nature. The water was so cold! My friends and I played a game called "Splashy Splash" We just splashed water on each other with the paddles. The sound was the sound of peace calling me. It was so silent if you were alone but being with your friends it was quite loud and fun. This place had a park. This park and I have a strong relationship because when I was little I would always come here with my uncle and he would teach me how to do the monkey bars, and going back today I was too tall for the monkey bars, and I really miss him. He moved to India a couple of years ago. After Kayaking we had lunch and this is when I went to the tiny park and went to the monkey bars. We ate lunch a bit isolated, far away from everybody.  It was really nice because it was really silent and we had a passage far away from everybody. After this we went on a hike along the Buckeye Trail! Which is so cool because we were on a trail which surrounds the whole state. We learned about a bunch of things that I didn't know about before.

This was a plant we learned about today(:

Day 5

Today we started the day off by watching a video. We had learned about Cheryl Strayed, who was a woman who had hiked the Pacific Crest Trail for 96 days.  After we watched this video and a bunch of clips on survival. We made our own list with a partner. It contained of where we wanted to hike, what season, and how many days. We decided to hike in a place for India during the Winter for 2 weeks. It took a long time to decide what all we wanted. Since we live in a granted life. We get everything that we don't need, so it was hard for us to put the want away and keep the need. After deciding our necessities we showed to our teachers and went back to our seat. After this activity we started watching a movie about this little girl who trained her little Geese and made them fly back to where they belonged. It was an amazing movie because we learned about how this young girl was so open to raise geese from when they were little eggs. After watching this movie we had recess and lunch. I still have to turn in my packet for Kayaking if I wanna go. After lunch we finished up the movie and went to Yoga. Today was kind of a self learn day from a video. It was really different not having an instructor, but it was pretty cool and different. After this we read our Nature Contemplation to a partner. They were to lay down on their Yoga mat and we read it to them. Mine as you can see, was in Day 4's post. We have Kayaking tomorrow!!! I can barely wait. It sounds like so much fun.

This is the movie we watched today.

Day 4

Today we went to Aullwood Audubon in Dayton. We experienced so many things here! We were first split into many groups and we got to chose so we were all with our friends. After that we were given Binoculars and went to go see birds and then we hiked down to this pond called the Blue Gil pond, since there was a bunch of those in the pond. I caught many snails. We were given a task to catch many invertebrates. Which I did. Later on we hiked back to the center and pet turtles and snakes! After this we finally hiked to the barn and saw many goats and cute animals. After this we ate lunch and had some free time to go see more animals and then we were headed back to school.

All the cuties I met today(:

Contemplation I wrote:

Think of yourself on an isolated beach. Far away from any distractions. The soothing sound of the ocean comforting and drowning out any stress or distractions you have going on. As you're laying down on your towel the waves come closer and closer and they finally reach your tippy toes. The ocean silently pulls your body into the ocean.
You're now in the water and your swimming in the waves letting the water take everything out of you. Any left over emotions that don't need to be felt. Stress. Love. Pain. All gone.  You've finally woken up. Realizing it was only a nap, but you've learnt and felt so much

Day 3

Today we went to Cox Park. It was a really fun day! We did a scavenger hunt and took pictures of 5 trees and one creature! We decided to take a couple of pictures per person so we wouldn't get them mixed up, so my friends and I just took one plant picture. After the scavenger hunt we just got to walk around, so we went to this huge tree and all of tried to sit on it but that didn't work so we just walked around, after that we went to this huge tower and took a bunch of pictures. After this we walked around again and it started getting really warm so went into this building which had a nice a/c room and it was really pretty. After this we went back outside and grabbed our lunch and went to the top of the tower again and ate lunch there and then we played a game as we ate. After this we walked back to the place to do some Yoga and boy was it hot! It was so hard to do some stuff because it was so warm! After this we went back to the school and worked on our blogs.
